Webinar: Covid 19 Vaccination for Clinically Extremely Vulnerable Children and Young People

On 19 July 2021, the UK government and devolved administrations announced that they had accepted advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) on COVID-19 vaccination in children and young people aged 12 to 17 years for children with complex health needs, with a later announcement covering 16 to 17 year olds.

Public Health England in support of the upcoming Covid 19 vaccination programme for Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV) Children and Young People from the age of 12 are holding an evening webinar to help explain the upcoming vaccination programme.

The webinar will be running from 6.30 to 7.30 in the evening on Monday the 16th August and aims to give parents, carers, supporters the facts about:

  • The impacts of Covid 19 on CEV children
  • An outline of the upcoming vaccination programme from colleagues in PHE and the NHS
  • Updates from key partners involved in the support of CEV children including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, complex care requirements and neurodiverse children.

The webinar will provide an opportunity to in in a panel discussion tackling key issues arising from the Covid 19 pandemic and the need to ensure we are protecting some of the most vulnerable Children and Young People in London with the vaccine.
